It's Curtains

Trying to narrow down choices for curtain fabric in Clementine's new room:

Marimekko (the circles are about the size of oreo cookies):

or Carolina Irving dandelion pattern (the dandelion balls are about the size of an....oreo):

The Carolina Irving one costs about double (or even a little more) the Marimekko one, although I'm guessing it's much more heavyweight since the Marimekko one is paper-thin. Either way I'm planning on using a light-blocking lining. I'm going for a classic 1970s look with unlacquered brass curtain rods (shown here in nickel instead) and rings:

I'm torn....the Marimekko pattern is so cheerful, but the Carolina Irving one seems more timeless. The Marimekko one screams "children" while the Carolina Irving one does not. And then there is the cost---the windows are *huge* (as in 9 feet high and 9 feet wide) so we are taking about at least 10 yards of fabric for curtains.

Mini Man

Checked out the Ralph Lauren sale offerings and came across these hilarious tiny bucks for infants:

Baskety

My sister's husband has a policy against anything too "baskety" in their house. Luckily my husband does not, since I love all things rattan, bamboo and wicker. Some recent vintage gems (spotted on Etsy) that I would love to have:
